Pushkar and Ajmer all drenched

‘Rain-rain go away, come again on another day’, the residents of Ajmer and Pushkar to need to chant this rhyme. In the past 24 hours, the people of the city have witnessed non-stop rain that made difficult for Ajmer people to commute and hindering their routine chores. A few days ago, the channel gates were opened to control the water level of Anasagar lake, however, Though the water level of Anasagar Lake was controlled by opening channel gates a few days ago, the level is on the rise again because of the heavy rain, and the lake is overflowing.

The situation is even worst in Pushkar since the scared Pushkar is overflowing. The water has reached on the roads and even the houses of the people. The tourists, who were staying in the hotels near Pushkar Lake were asked to evacuate since the water level is on the rise. The town witnessed this massive rain almost after 30 years.

People travelling to Jaipur from Ajmer were stuck at Kishangarh due to clogged water on the highway.
