Music has always shared a special bond with Rajasthan — from the time when musicians used to play in the courts of kings to now, when the state’s folk music has gained popularity around the world. Our musical legacy is so rich that an increasing number of music festivals are being held here each year, with fans from around the world converging to attend. We bring you a list of music festivals from Rajasthan that you shouldn’t miss.

1. Magnetic Fields
Magnetic Field, a music festival that started in 2013 at Alsisar, has now been listed among the top 10 festivals of the nation. The festival was started by Abhimanyu Alsisar, the festival director who started this festival for his love of music

2. Talbelia
Rajasthan has proved to be a great destination even for fests that have just been launched. The founder of Taalbelia, a music festival that began in 2016 at Mandawa chose Rajasthan because of its perfect backdrop, great characters, and folk music is the soul of the festival too. The festival includes a lot many Rajasthani things in it and is titled as one of the best emerging festivals.

3. Shekhawati

Shekhawati Utsav Momasar, one of the oldest music festivals of Shekhawati, was initially started in 2002 to bring out the talent of the region. It was held at various locations within the Shekhawati region. However, after gaining popularity, the festival moved to Momasar in 2011.

4. Udaipur World Music Festival

One of the most popular music festivals of the state, Udaipur World Music Festival was conceptualized in 2016. The festival has number of national and international artistes performing in the city of lakes.
